Dr. Daniel W. Kim is a fellowship-trained interventional pain specialist who utilizes his extensive knowledge of interventional spine management to develop a customized evaluation and treatment plan for each of his patients in order to provide the best possible results in a timely manner. He personally cares for every patient and is double board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pain Management.

Dr. Kim completed his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at UMDNJ Kessler Institute, which is ranked the top PM&R program in the East Coast and the second highest in the entire country by U.S. News and World Report. He then completed a prestigious interventional spine pain fellowship at Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians (MASPP) where he worked closely with Dr. Frank Falco, the principal founder of MASPP and the current president-elect of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

After completing his pain fellowship in 2004, Dr. Kim was selected to be an attending pain physician specialist at MASPP where he was instrumental in training other doctors before he decided to move to the Dallas area. He practiced as an interventional spine specialist in the Plano area for several years and was selected by his peers as one of the Best Doctors in Collin County for 2011 in D Magazine. He then decided to join Dr. Douglas Won (of Minimally Invasive SpineCARE) that same year in order to provide the highest level of spine care in the field of medicine today.

Dr. Kim is a member of the International Spine Intervention Society, North American Spine Society, and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Kim is also a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and he is highly qualified and experienced in doing his own electromyography (EMG) testing to carefully evaluate nerves and muscles that may be causing pain, numbness, or weakness.
