Dr Daniel Sunwoo MD

Dr. Daniel Sunwoo, MD

Interventional Pain Specialist

Daniel Sunwoo, M.D. is fellowship trained in Pain Management, and board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his pain management training at Georgetown University Hospital/National Rehabilitation Hospital’s Program. Prior to his pain management training, he was a member of the medical staff at National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC.

Dr. Sunwoo believes in conservative management whenever possible for patients. He is trained in interventional pain procedures that are useful for many cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions. He likes to incorporate physical therapy as part of a treatment program. He believes physical therapy is not only useful for many conditions but also provides the education and training needed for patients once therapy is completed. Dr. Sunwoo works closely with his spine surgery colleagues. He is trained in diagnostic interventional procedures (pain mapping) and electrodiagnostic (EMG/NCV) testing. Both of which can offer useful information when trying to localize the etiology of a painful spine condition.

Dr. Sunwoo believes the well-being of the patient is the utmost priority. Providing courteous and compassionate care can go a long way in making patients feel comfortable, and is a dedicated member of the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.
